Jason Lane

 

Jason E. Lane is Senior Associate Vice Chancellor and Vice Provost for Academic Affairs at SUNY. Dr. Lane oversees the office responsible for the review of all academic programs across the system’s 64 campuses and the development and implementation of key academic initiatives and policies that support the system’s Strategic Plan, The Power of SUNY. He also provides leadership for the System’s efforts to attract and retain exceptional researchers through the Empire Innovation Program as well as coordinates the annual SUNY Critical Issues in Higher Education conference and book series, which promotes academic inquiry into the most pressing issues facing public colleges and universities. Previously, Dr. Lane served as a SUNY Provost Fellow and continues to serve as the Deputy Director for Research at the Nelson A. Rockefeller Institute of Government, the public policy think tank of the State University of New York. He is also an associate professor of educational policy (on leave), senior researcher at the Institute for Global Education Policy Studies, and co-director of the Cross-Border Education Research Team (C-BERT) at the University at Albany (SUNY).

Dr. David Lavallee served as Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of the SUNY system, 2009-2013, with responsibilities spanning academic and operational aspects of the nation’s largest integrated system of higher education. His prior service included system Provost, and Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at SUNY New Paltz and at the City College of New York.

As University Professor and Senior Advisor to the Chancellor, he now conducts leadership training for new presidents and provosts in the system and for staff and faculty at the New Paltz campus. He is also assists in the presidential search process SUNY-wide.

Dr. Lavallee has been an invited speaker at more than 125 universities and research centers in 11 countries and was a Fulbright senior research fellow in Paris in 1986. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from St. Bonaventure University and his Master of Science and Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Chicago.

Chet Warzynski

Chet Warzynski

 

Chet Warzynski is currently a senior advisor at Carnegie Mellon. Previously, he was executive director of the Office of Organizational Development at the Georgia Institute of Technology, leading an internal consultancy group that provided a full range of consulting services in strategic planning and organizational development. He has published articles in professional and academic journals and book chapters on leadership, strategic planning, business process re-engineering, project management, and human resource development.

Mark Hopkins provides the technical support for the SUNY360. As the owner of Cubix360, he develops specialized assessment tools for business and educational institutions. He brings over 30 years of experience developing software tools for engineering, printing and sales, including Computer Aided Design, engineering printing and interactive assessment tools. He is pleased to be back working in higher education with the SUNY Leadership Institute.
